Sometimes very slow windows 10 boot through OpenCore

PC Specs:

Intel Xeon E3-1245v3

Gigabyte Z97n-wifi

16gb DDR3 @ 1866Mhz

Rx 570

Apple Broadcom WIFI/Bluetooth

2x 1TB Samsung 870 Evo SSD

Opencore 0.7.0 (but also in 0.6.7)

So the setup I've been running for a while has MacOS on one disk with the opencore bootloader in its EFI and on a separate disk is a bog standard Windows 10 install.

Most of the time Windows boots fine from Opencore, but occasionally after the first windows loading animation (the dots in a circle) it will sit with a black screen for 10 to 15 minutes before it loads into windows like nothing happened. Very preliminary testing doesn't suggest this is affected much by shutdown/restarts or what the last OS was, it seems to be random but that may not be the case.

Any tips on how I can avoid this? I haven't touched anything in my config to aid with dual booting, its just a very vanilla install following the guide. In the guide itself it just says this should work.

Obviously the easiest solution is to use my MoBo's boot picker instead but I use a bluetooth keyboard and it doesn't always initialise in time to activate it. Also, this community isn't about taking the easiest path so I would love to dig into what's going on. rather than rely on my PS/2 keyboard as a dedicated boot drive selector.
