Lenovo ThinkPad T410 - Stuck after OpenCore boot menu

Lenovo ThinkPad T410

  • Intel Core i5-520M (2.40GHz/2.93GHz Turbo 3MB L3) -- Arrandale
  • Intel HD Graphics IGP
  • Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6200 AGN

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to install macOS on this laptop for a while. No matter what I do the end result is the same. OpenCore boot menu comes up, choose option 1 to install macOS, then verbose text comes up for a couple of minutes followed by a blank screen with only the WiFi light blinking constantly. Checked the OC logs and the last recorded line is always the same: AmiShimTimerBoostExit changed current period to 100000 followed by a bunch of 1s and 0s which go on forever. The laptop sits in this status indefinitely.

I am not a complete noob and have followed the OC guide to a T multiple times to no avail. Searched high and low but no one seems to have an answer for this one.

Some facts:

  • The USB installer was created on a real Mac
  • This is a Legacy BIOS and the setup was created accordingly
  • Have tried changing boot arguments specific to Intel graphics and other suggestions to no avail
  • BIOS is the latest and 'Default' settings loaded
  • Security chip disabled in BIOS

I have zipped up and uploaded the following files here if anyone is willing to help me out, please.

  1. config.plist
  2. OpenCore log
  3. Text file with USB EFI folder structure

Thank you for anyone who is willing to take the time to give this one a try. I'll be grateful for any feedback.
