Boot Issue sort off (MB/GPU related possibly)

Been trying to setup my Ryzentosh for the last few days and I have pretty much got it fully working (continuity feature basically work out of the box which was unexpected but awesome) except for sleep (not fussed) and this weird boot issue quirk (the important one).

After the last two days tinkering I have narrow it down to the following.

  • CSM doesn't stay disabled upon reboot - literally scour the internet to figure out why with no avail.
  • The machine will boot and work fine if I disable it BUT it only works if I use the DVI port and not the DisplayPort port. BUT the DisplayPort will work once I am inside Big Sur and connect it to a "second monitor" (using a 49" on PBP for testing).

It basically gets stuck on "PCI Configuration Begin"; I am assuming the main crux is the fact that my CSM setting is not sticking and keeps re-enabling itself?

Ideally I want to use my DisplayPort as I need it to support 5120x1440@60Hz - Worst case I can do PBP but having to unplug the DP cable whilst booting then plugging it back in is a real issue as well.

The build itself I had just follow the OC 0.7.0 Vanilla Guide and its basically working flawlessly aside from the above.

Hardware wise it has the following.

  • Gigabyte B450 ITX
  • Ryzen 2700
  • Trident Z 2 x 8 3000MHz
  • HP GT730

I have looked through this subreddit and various other hackintosh forums and I can't really find any definitive solution. Hoping someone have any ideas - any advise is much appreciated.
