I'm following the instructions by u/thenickdude for installing macOS Big Sur on Proxmox https://www.nicksherlock.com/2020/06/installing-macos-big-sur-on-proxmox/
Hardware (previously had installed OpenCore/hackintosh installed)
- Intel i7-10700
- ASRock B460M-ITX/ac
Software
- Proxmox 6.4-4
- BigSur-full.img (generated with the script in the article.)
- OpenCore-v13.iso (linked from the article)
So my final vm configuration looks like this
agent: 1 args: -device isa-applesmc,osk="appleosk" -smbios type=2 -device usb-kbd,bus=ehci.0,port=2 -cpu host,kvm=on,vendor=GenuineIntel,+kvm_pv_unhalt,+kvm_pv_eoi,+hypervisor,+invtsc balloon: 0 bios: ovmf boot: order=ide2 cores: 12 cpu: Penryn efidisk0: vm1:vm-103-disk-0,size=4M ide0: local:iso/BigSur-recovery.img,cache=unsafe,size=2G ide2: local:iso/OpenCore-v13.iso,cache=unsafe,size=150M machine: q35 memory: 24576 name: bigsur net0: vmxnet3=66:A7:A0:9D:4C:87,bridge=vmbr0,firewall=1 numa: 1 ostype: other scsihw: virtio-scsi-pci smbios1: uuid=ce6a55b9-9879-4e9f-aa58-11a5cd61311c sockets: 1 vga: vmware virtio0: local-lvm:vm-103-disk-0,cache=unsafe,discard=on,size=256G vmgenid: be3f37b2-7c53-49d4-9ab2-f732b3339e92
I attached the error as an image (I'm not sure how to dump it to a text file! Sorry!)
I've done a Hackintosh build directly on this hardware before for what it's worth. But I could use help right now because I don't know how to read these errors very well, every Google search seems to just say "check your OpenCore configuration/follow the instructions" Does anyone have more specific advice for my boot error here? Otherwise, should I just try to go through the OpenCore guide and try to teach myself how I can adapt it to virtualized hardware?
