Hello wonderful people of r/hackintosh, Want to write a short appreciation post for helping me get this dream machine up and running on BigSur. Thanks to u/Nobbylobo, u/Human7900, u/Ragip_mehmet & u/eric_kwok for their continued assistance in helping me troubleshoot as well as suggest various options to try. Specs as below, HP Envy Laptop J053ea HDMI: LG IPS FULLHD 24MP88HV-S.AUS CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz (Haswell) GPU: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller & NVIDIA Corporation GK208M [GeForce GT 740M] RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Motherboard/Laptop Make and Model: Laptop HP Envy J053ea (17.2" 1920x1080) Audio Codec: IDT 92HD91BXX & Intel Haswell HDMI Ethernet Card: RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wifi/BT Card: BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter Touchpad and touch display devices: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad I'm dual booting with windows 10 as my laptop has 2 ssd bays. What works: Sleep/Wake,Battery Percentage, Audio, iMessage, Facetime, Trackpad with gestures etc. A common occurrence is when HDMI is connected and I wake the laptop, it wakes to a black screen or reboots or sometimes wakes up but without HDMI Audio detected. Thanks to u/dhinakg for the wonderful USBToolBox. Keep up the community help guys. Back in 2015 I've used Clover to boot OS X El Capitan and then upgrade upto Mojave using Rehabman's guide. The transition to OC following the guide was really good and it was an entirely new learning curve since Rehabman's guide pretty much did everything out of the box provided you had a similar machine.
