CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz GPU: dGPU: GTX 1650 (DISABLED) iGPU:Intel UHD 630 Graphics RAM: 16 GB DDR4 @ 2667 MHz Laptop Model/Make: Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 Audio Codec: ALC295 Ethernet Card: Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wifi/BT: BCM94360CS2 (out of an old MacBook Air; using m.2 adapter) What's Working: iMessage/Facetime, Sleep, Wifi/BT, Power management, All USB ports, AirDrop/AirPlay Not Working: Nothing that I can see Not Tested: Sidecar Took me a while to get up and running fully, but eventually, I managed to get through all kernel panics and finished getting everything set up in around 3 weeks. I mainly used the Opencore guide to get everything running which was very useful and easily understandable after reading it thoroughly. I originally tried using the Intel AX201 wifi card that came with the machine but had periodic wifi drops with AirportItlwm but the wifi connection issue went away when switching to itlwm. The thing that pushed me to use the BCM94360CS2 from an old MacBook Air was the horrible Bluetooth connection issues I had with my AirPods. I tried to find a solution everywhere and even tried downgrading the IntelBluetoothFirmware Kexts but nothing helped. When I switched to the Airport Card, every wifi and Bluetooth issue went away and I had a fully functional Hackintosh laptop. [link] [comments] |
