I'm putting together a new system and I am looking for an AMD Radeon pro w5500 to run on Big Sur.
Of course, everything is out of stock, but I just found a HP version of the AMD Radeon pro w5500 for sale. I can't find much info on the HP edition of this card.
Dortina metions that the Radeon Pro w5500 is a good GPU for a hackintosh system https://dortania.github.io/GPU-Buyers-Guide/modern-gpus/amd-gpu.html#native-amd-gpus
Can anyone help me out by answering the following questions:
Is the HP radeon pro very different from the regular AMD version?
Is it made to be only compatible with HP machines?
Can I run it in a Hackintosh/ will I need to tweak some things?
Although HP have no online info on their w5500 card, they do have a page showing their wx7100 Radeon Pro: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/amd-radeon-pro-wx-7100-8gb-graphics-card
This is the system I'll be running Big Sur on Open Core version 6.8
MSI MPG z490m motherboard
Intel i9 - 10850K
Corsair SF 600 PSU
AMD Radeon pro w5500 (hopefully)
Thermaltake Toughram 64gb 3200mhz
Fenvi T919 Network Adapter
Samsung 980 pro NVMe SSD
Thanks a bunch already in advance.
