login screen doesn't register some USB keyboard keypresses after boot

Hello,

It seemed that I celebrated my upgrade to Big Sur a bit too early - I now have a pretty annoying bug.

On boot, when it's time to enter my account password, macOS register some, but not all, of the key presses on my USB keyboard. E.g., "A" is registered, while "S" is not; most of the right side of the keyboard is registered, while most of the left side of the keyboard is not.

I have a GoldTouch USB keyboard, the the switch is in "Mac" position.

Some additional info:

  • That doesn't depend on which USB port the keyboard is connected too - at first, I thought it some weird interaction with my monitor's USB hub (where the keyboard is connected to), but the same thing happens when a keyboard is directly connected to a USB port on my Hack.
  • When I unplug and re-plug the keyboard, it starts working properly.
  • When I wake the computer from sleep, it works.
  • With Catalina before, I had no issues; I didn't adjust any of my OpenCore settings before upgrading to Catalina.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
