intermittent boot looping with OC 0.6.8

I just upgraded to OC 0.6.8 from 0.6.5, rebuilt the config.plist from scratch and updated my kexts but when I boot into macOS, the progress bar goes along and then black screen and back to the OC picker, it does this a few times but eventually boots into macOS, how do I fix this?? help would be much appreciated!
