Asus Tuf Z390-plus can't get ethernet to work

System Specs:

Intel i5 9600K
Asus Tuf Z390-plus gaming (wi-fi)
Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe M.2

Problem:

I can boot into Catalina no problem everything else appears to be working but I cannot get ethernet to work. I am using intelmausi.kext. Under system info it shows no ethernet controller present. According to the manual this motherboard uses Intel I219-V gigabit lan. Any help would be appreciated.
