Thunderbolt display woes but my mobo has thunderbolt 3. Do I have options?

I have been running a 24" apple led off of display port on my gpu on my hack for 5 years. I picked up a 27" TB display thinking I could just run it off display port. NOPE!

My motherboard is a GA z170x Gaming 7 with thunderbolt 3 via a usb-c connection in the back. My gpu is a Sapphire Rx580 nitro+

I had someone help me with my hackintosh upgrade to big sur and opencore because I only used multibeast in the past. When they helped me they told me I would not have thunderbolt capability which I didnt care about at the time because I dont use it.

Is there a way to get this Thunderbolt display working either through a combination of dongles, drivers, expansion card, anything?

Could I activate the thunderbolt on my mobo somehow and then get a minidisplay port to usb-c adapter?

Can I buy an thunderbolt expansion card?

Do I have to sell this thing? I'd like to keep it even though I am very aware there are cheaper better new displays out there. It has value for me for displaying images at tradeshows and such if I can get it to work.

Thanks!
