So I had recently just bought a pc (1660 ti and a i5 10400f), and I’ve been getting some fps drops/stutters pretty frequently in Fortnite where I would drop from 200+ fps all the way down to 60 and under on mid-range quality settings. And on Warzone, when I’m loading into a game or on the plane It would go down to 1fps and 996 ping for 30 seconds, and then go back to a buttery smooth 100fps on pretty decent quality settings🤔. Now I tried to change up my performance settings through the nvidia and windows control panel, and it made a slight difference but In fps, but Im still having the frame drops. Now I think that this is due to my ram because I have 1x8gb 2600mhz ram, and since it’s single channel and only 2600mhz I think that it’s bottle-necking my gpu and cpu which is causing those fps drops and stutter in my games. I also have some theories that it could be my 1660 ti, since it jumps to 100% sometimes when I’m playing my games. I’m just looking for some confirmation that it’s my ram that’s the problem, so that I can buy a new set, or if it’s anything else that’s causing the problem, so I can try to solve it. Again, any response would be highly appreciated :)
