Flashed vs Unflashed titan ridge?

I am looking at picking up one of these locally. Its a flashed Titan Ridge card to be used in a REAL mac.

I am hoping I can shove it in the hackintosh case and it will work out of the box. I have Gigabyte z170x gaming 7 with Thunderbolt on the board, but it only supports igpu, not dgpu to my knowledge..

But if the flashing is bad for hackintosh users and is only good for real mac users then I dont want to get it. This guy had an issue with a flashed Titan ridge card, but it could have been something else too so I am hoping to get some knowledge from the reddit hive mind.
