I'm working on updating my old hackintosh running Mavericks to High Sierra using a new SSD following the Dortania guide for OpenCore. I got the EFI environment all set up on a USB drive (I followed the instructions very carefully and ran the slowgeek sanity check on my config.plist which came up all green) and I can boot into OpenCore, but when I select the USB installer partition I get this error:
End SetConsoleMode Start LoadKernelFromStream Error allocating 0x38e1 pages at 0x000000000fdf0000 alloc type 2 End LoadKernelFromStream ERROR!!! Load prelinked kernel with status 0x800000000000009 Error loading kernel cache (0x9)
It didn't really match anything on the troubleshooting page, but it seemed like it might be related to some things I found about slide values, although that wasn't a perfect match either. Would it help to delete the /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel file? (There are two other files next to that one, immutablekernel and immutablekernel.j137ap.im4m.) Do I need to redo my USB drive?
My hardware: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H i7-3770K GTX 760
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I left out any pertinent info let me know.
