Gigabyte B450 aorus M not recognising partitions

Hi, I'm simply trying to get my motherboard to see two partitions - one of which I will install Big Sur on.

However for whatever reason it hates me and I can't find an answer anywhere as to why?

Mobo- Gigabyte B450 aorus M

SSD- samsung 1TB 870 QVO sata drive (recognised in bios in chipset data port 2)

Any help would be appreciated, all I'm trying to do is see the partitions in boot menu (F12 for my motherboard). Thanks
