Hi everyone,
I am trying to update from Catalina to Big Sur, and am having issues where, upon boot, it hangs at the Apple logo - without a progress bar.
I have been previously booting with OpenCore with no issues. The version of OpenCore I had been using was from June 2020, so I figured maybe I needed to create a new config.plist to conform to the newer versions of OpenCore. I did this, with no luck. I followed the guide step by step, updated all kexts and drivers, use the same boot args that worked with Catalina, yet I am stuck here.
I tried creating a Big Sur USB stick for installation, and also tried to just update directly from the App Store, both with the same result. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or what to try at this point. For some reason, it doesn't even show verbose mode, despite having the flag.
MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC mobo
Sapphire RX580 graphics card
Ryzen 7 1700 processor
I did go through and merge the patches for the Ryzen processor..
Any discussion/assistance would be greatly appreciated.
