I know it is overkill to have more than 2 thunderbolt 3 ports in most situations, but there are still some situations which require it. TB3 monitors are easily daisy-chain-able, however most audio equipment is not. Does anyone know if it would be possible to add in 2 or 3 Gigabyte TB3 cards? There is only 1 TB3 header on even the most fancy Motherboard, but there is some talk of the PCIE cards working if I short (connect) pins 3 and 5 on the 1 or 2 extra pcie cards (egpu.io)
I know that any extra TB3 PCIE cards I add past the first one, hot plug will probably not work, additionally no display passthrough will work (the header and potentially USB in titan ridge models is needed for this)
