"Watchdog timeout" kernel panic on shutdown/restart

Every time I shut down or restart my hackintosh, it freezes on the desktop wallpaper for 5 minutes before finally kernel panicking and shutting down. When it turns back on, I get the "your computer restarted because of a problem" alert. The panic report is always the same watchdog timeout: no checkins from watchdogd, and the timeout is always around 300 seconds (5 minutes).

Here's my hardware and software configuration:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-9400
  • GPU: Radeon RX 560
  • Boot Disk: WD Black M.2 NVMe 250GB
  • Motherboard: MSI Z390-A PRO
  • WiFi & Bluetooth: BCM94360CS2
  • macOS Big Sur 11.1
  • OpenCore 0.6.5 (kexts in config.plist)

I also followed the steps in this OpenCore guide to no avail. I found this post on r/MacOS discussing the watchdog issue on real Macs, but it doesn't look like anyone found a solution. Has anyone here seen this before? Thanks for your help!
