Hello,
I'm hopeless now. I'm facing this common issue but can't find a way to resolve it.
I follow the OpenCore guide to install Big Sur on l'y desktop. When I boot on the USB key I get normal log output and then "Still waiting for root device" and then text became scrambled with the prohibit sign.
I only have Linux to create the USB key, I have tried both methods from OC guide, none work.
I have tried:
- Kernel -> Quirks -> XhciPortLimit -> True
- UEFI -> Quirks -> ReleaseUsbOwnership -> True
- try all USB ports (2.0 and 3.0 and 3.1)
- USBInjectAll
- Multiple USB keys, 2.0 and 3.0
Nothing work.
My hardware is:
- MSI Z170-A Pro Gaming Carbon
- i5-6500 (Skylake)
- Radeon RX580
- 24GB Ram DDR4
- Kingston 120 GB SSD
Any help will be appreciated. I search a lot on the internet but cannot find any trick to get it working.
Thank you in advance.
