Performance issue with iPhone 12 simulator

I'm on intel igpu right now and the animation is really slow. It's fast when I use iPhone SE2.

Does adding a discrete gpu improves the iPhone simulator animation performance? I'm planning to get a rx570 or do I need to upgrade my aging intel 4th gen cpu?
