Well its right there in the title. I've never built a pc before but ive always wanted one for gaming. Now im working at a recording studio and I want a PC that runs windows for gaming/streaming and Mac OS for protools. Then my buddy told me to build a hackintosh but didn't really give much more info. The problem is I don't know much about computer components yet but im doing as much research as I can. My question is, has anyone built something like this before and can give me some insight and advice to take into consideration when choosing my parts? I would love for it to run as silent as possible and easily run the virtual instruments and plugins. If its possible to keep it as close to $1000, that'd be great because I still need to buy a monitor, keyboard, etc, but I don't mind investing a little more.
