Keyboard NOT working in Mac OS Installer but working in OpenCore boot selection

Hi everyone,

First off, here's my hardware.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700X

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080

MOBO: ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4

Keyboard: Apple USB Keyboard A1243

Given my GPU, I'm trying to install High Sierra.

My Apple Keyboard A1243 works for OpenCore selector but doesn't work in Mac OS Installer. I was able to get through the first step of the installation fine with my mouse but now Mac OS is asking me to enter username and so on and this requires the keyboard to work.

I've googled for hours yesterday and today and wasn't able to find a solution.

Strangely, the usb mouse works fine, it's just the usb keyboard that doesn't work. I've tried switching ports to usb2 and all the other ones on my mobo, no luck.

I think mine is basically the same problem as in this post: https://amd-osx.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10059

But unfortunately there are no solutions mentioned there.

I would appreciate any help, thank you!
