HP Elitebook 840 G2 will not auto boot into OpenCore.efi and selected UEFI application is invalid

So my 12 year daughter is all things Apple. She's got the phone, the iPad (xmas), the airpods etc. So I tried to turn her HP Elitebook 840 G2 into a hackintosh. I've got Opencore 0.6.4 on it with Mojave 10.15.7. When I power on the laptop, the default boot up process does not find opencore.efi at all and says hard drive doesnt have an image.

I can go into the BIOS, select "Boot from EFI", then browse to the OpenCore.efi and it boots. But then I get ANOTHER error that says the UEFI application image is invalid. It gives me the option to continue anyway. So I select that and EVERYTHING works great. Bluetooth, wifi, keyboard with basic gestures, sound etc.

I just dont get where the problem is.

Help me r/hackintosh, you're my only hope
