Can somebody with some expertise explain this to me that solved most of my issues?

I have a x570 tomahawk motherboard and my intel ax200 and sleep refused to work until I disabled the serial port in my BIOS settings. Why is that so? Is it because the wifi card is connected to the serial port or sth?
