Follow the steps below as a guideline on how to share your successful Hackintosh installation process:
Collect Necessary Hardware and Software:
Ryzen 7 3700X CPU RTX 2060 GPU A compatible motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, and power supply A Mac system to download macOS, or a pre-made macOS installer ISO/image A USB drive of at least 16GB Prepare your USB Installer:
Use a Mac system to download macOS from the App Store. Format the USB drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using Disk Utility. Create a bootable USB drive using createinstallmedia command in Terminal or a tool like Unibeast. Configure BIOS settings:
Turn off Fast Boot and Secure Boot. Enable AHCI for SATA mode. Enable XHCI Handoff. Prepare your Config.plist:
Use OpenCore or Clover Configurator to generate a config.plist. Use appropriate kexts for your system, such as Lilu, WhateverGreen, VirtualSMC, AppleALC, etc. Configure your config.plist according to the Dortania OpenCore Guide for Ryzen systems. Install macOS:
Boot from the USB drive. Format your target drive using Disk Utility. Install macOS. After the installation, boot from the USB drive again, but this time choose your newly installed macOS drive. Post-Installation:
Install Clover or OpenCore to your macOS drive. Copy EFI from USB drive to the EFI partition of your macOS drive. Install necessary kexts using KextBeast or manually copy them to your Clover or OpenCore kexts folder. Nvidia GPU Workaround:
Since macOS does not natively support Nvidia GPUs after High Sierra, use macOS versions High Sierra or before. Install the appropriate Nvidia Web Drivers for your macOS version. Check Everything:
Make sure audio, networking, GPU acceleration, sleep/wake, and all other system components are working. If not, troubleshoot each non-working component by checking your config.plist, kexts, and BIOS settings.
Note: Make sure you follow each step carefully and ensure that you have compatible versions of macOS, drivers, and BIOS settings for your hardware.
