As the title says, every time I attempt to boot macOS Catalina without safe mode, I get a gIOLockScreenState hang where my fans ramp up to full speed.
So far, I have tried: * agdpmod=pikera on iMacPro1,1, and agdpmod=ignore on MacPro7,1 (as well as vit9696) * WhateverGreen fixes (notably -radvesa and radpg=15, I thought radpg=15 could work as I require the boot arg amdgpu.dpm=0 on linux, or my system freezes at OS boot with full fan speed) * Switching output cables (Tried all DisplayPort connectors and HDMI, as well as removing my second monitor and not) * Flashing a Sapphire VBIOS onto my GPU (did absolutely nothing, GPU-Z detects the new VBIOS) * Forcing PCIe 3.0 speed * Making sure CSM is off (it always was.)
I was able to boot the system once with full acceleration. However, I think my BIOS bugged or something as when booting, instead of the verbose and OpenCore boot menu being my native res, it was pretty lower resolution, like as if it was a legacy boot. I tried messing around with the GOP stuff in OpenCore's UEFI settings but no die.
My specs are: * AMD Ryzen 5 1500X * MSI B350M Gaming Pro * 16GB DDR4-3200MHz memory * XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT Thicc III Ultra * Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD (my macOS drive) * be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W CM
