Nonprofit seeking computer and hardware donations for Southern Oregon fire victims

Hello Hackintosh Fans,

Are you doing a little extended spring cleaning? Bought one too many Ryzen CPUs for BIOS upgrades? Have an unused desktop, GPU, Power Supply or laptop computer and would like to see it put to a good use? Would you like to help those people in the Southern Oregon area deeply affected by the recent fires?

Please consider donating any new/used desktop computers, laptops, monitors, tablets, wireless data access points to our nonprofit organization: Phoenix Technology Organization. Our goal is to gather funds and hardware donations to clean, refurbish and distribute computers to the local community, especially those disadvantaged families severely affected by fires in the PNW. With schools being shut or moved to only remote learning, many families have lost their main connection to be able to participate in learning, communication, online banking, shopping and the hundreds of other daily uses we depend on computers for today.

We are an Oregon state registered domestic non profit charity, with pending 501c3 registration. While any help would be appreciated, we are looking for the following items, used or new:

• desktop computers (7 years or newer)
• computer components such as DDR4, DDR3, SSDs, 500w+ Power Supplies, GPUs, PCI/USB WiFi adapters.
• laptops (5 years or newer, unlocked if Apple)
• tablets (5 years or newer, unlocked if Apple)
• monitors (22+ inch, >720p, LCD/LED/TN/VA)
• lightly used or new keyboards and mice
• webcams with microphones

If the computer or laptop is slow or not working - but mechanically sound and not requiring advanced repairs - we can fix it, refurbish and distribute to those families and students who need it now. Cracked screens on tablets would be difficult to repair but we might be able to work something out if all other parts of the machine are working well. If you are outside the Southern Oregon or greater Seattle area and have laptop/tablet donations, please fill out a request form on the link below, we may be able to provide a UPS label for shipping. We cannot send UPS labels for whole desktops at the moment because we are working on limited funds. Although, if you would like to ship it directly, that would be wonderful.
