Laptop with HD520 refuses to output to internal display...most of the time.

I’ve posted issues recently talking about my hackintosh laptop going to a black screen after logging in.

Today I discovered that 100% of the time, if I connect a monitor to the laptops HDMI port it will boot and login fine every time. However when I boot like this, the internal display is completely disabled.

If I try to boot without anything connected to HDMI 99% of the time after logging in the screen with be lit, but completely black. However 1% of the time it will randomly decide to work and I can use my internal display perfectly fine...until I need to reboot again.

I followed the Dortania vanilla guide for a SkyLake Laptop using OpenCore.

Has any had a similar issue?

Edit: I should add that I can boot into safe mode without issue.
