Hey everyone. First time posting here.
I'm about to pull the trigger on a Hackintosh build for audio production and video editing (mostly audio) but I'm looking for some feedback regarding parts. I've read the guides and the faq here but really wanted to double check with you guys in case I'm missing something or find some better deals. So here's the list for the intended build:
After researching for a while I'm going with OpenCore and try out Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina
Motherboard: Gigabyte ATX S-1151 Designare Z390
Processor: Intel i9-9900K Coffee Lake
GPU: Radeon RX 5600XT BE
RAM: Corsair LPX Vengeance (2x16Gb)
SSD: Crucial Drive MX 500 1TB M.2 SATA III
Power Supply: EVGA 850 BQ 80 PLUS Bronze, ATX, 24-pin ATX
Cooling: NZXT Kraken liquid cooling 2x140mm
WiFi/BT: Fenvi 91T1 (honestly, this is gonna be a stationary setup which can be used via ethernet cable so I would appreciate some recommendations since I do intend to use bluetooth for mouse/keyboard)
Audio: Apollo Twin Duo MK2 Thunderbolt (my apollo twin uses TB2, but after talking to Universal Audio support they told me it should work with a TB2-TB3 converter no problem)
Pro Tools 2018/Waves/Slate Everything Bundle/Brainworx/UAD plugins are my main work tools.
Case: Antec P101 Silent (emphasis on the silent part)
Editing video is just meant for YouTube and entertainment purposes, maybe some DIY music videos. Not trying to edit movies or 8K raw video or whatever.
Thoughts? Recommendations on hardware?
