Well this was a treat! After my last build on an Intel based platform, I made the jump from an i7-8700k to the Ryzen 9 3950x! 24 seconds from selection in OpenCore menu to OSX login!
Parts I used (wanted a total NON-RGB build):
- Ryzen 9 3950X
- Asus TUF Gaming Plus X570 (not the top end for sure but a solid MB)
- 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V 3600MHz DDR4 (2 x 16GB)
- Fenvi T919 Wifi / Bluetooth PCI-E Card (a must for hackintosh)
- Sapphire RX590 Nitro+ 8GB (an older card but I don't need more for what I do)
- DeepCool 360mm AIO (solid performer, don't need crazy OC with a CPU this awesome)
- Added 7 DeepCool TF120s fans to the CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh case
- 1TB SSD (Windows) 1TB M.2(OS Catalina) - Dual Boot System
- Corsair RM850 Fully Modular Power Supply
- OpenCore 0.5.9 with help from several YouTube videos and rather excellent instructions...a word of advice to anyone either switching to OpenCore from Clover or trying Hackintosh for the first time, take your time and read ALL of the instructions carefully, especially section 11.2 as my Asus motherboard doesn't have the option for "Above 4G Decoding" and my system wouldn't boot without having the ncpi=0x2000 flag set in the boot args.
What works...everything except SLEEP as far as I can tell...even unlocks with my Apple Watch!
Handoff, Continuity, FaceTime, iMessage, etc all work.
This thing is a beast! Cinebench R20 ran 9308 STOCK with no tweaks at all!

My proudest build yet, great machine. My sincerest thanks for all of those involved in OpenCore for the tremendous amount of work that goes into making this possible. Keep On Hacking On!
