I think this may boil down to not having the most compatible GPU, but wanted to check in with some folks smarter than I (Namely you). Yes, I've checked the links in the sidebar of this subreddit. Extremely, helpful, but not for this issue.
For the life of me I cannot get dual monitors going. I can get one monitor at a time going. Either or, not both. The GPU has 3 Display Ports and one HDMI (4 ports total). The HDMI works well at full res, the display ports all work, but very low-res. And again, only one at a time.
Any second display attached is not detected in System Preferences. If I have two monitors connected and boot, it's black screens all around.
I've tried messing around with Hackintool to map the ports, but it really doesn't seem to take.
I have 15 years in I.T. but about 2 weeks in Hackintosh, and feel like a total n00b. I welcome any hand-holding.
Hardware:
- CPU: i7-9700f LGA1151
- GPU: Radeon RX 5600 XT
- RAM: 64Gb
- Motherboard/Laptop model: Gigabyte z390 Aorus Ultra
- Audio Codec: AppleALC
- What guide/tool followed: Vanilla Mojave install using Clover/Hackintool
- What part I got an issue with: Dual Monitors
Thanks for any help in advance!
