Catalina ugrade from Mojave issue

<a class='btn-link text-<span class='badge badge-success'>Success</span>' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina</a> ugrade from <a class='btn-link text-<span class='badge badge-success'>Success</span>' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave</a> issue

I (foolishly) attempted to upgrade directly from Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave to Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina using the App Store. When the download finished, system attempted to reboot. System shows error messages and is not booting anymore.I was running the current version of Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave and upgraded to the current version of Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina as of May 15, 2020.

Someone suggested that I change a bios settings, did so but still having the issue.

Suggestion:

(Serial ports (SuperIO) should be disabled in the BIOS settings.)

I am currently seeing the following error message when trying to load the system.
