Hardware: Qualcomm Athreos AR 9565 Kext Used: https://github.com/black-dragon74/ATH9KFixup
Every since I got into hackintoshing, my wifi was my only problem, when I was in Mojave it worked, but I was too slow, like under 1Mbps.
Day before yesterday I finished setting up my Catalina hackintosh, touchpad gestures, sound, etc. It was/is perfect. I attempted to give wifi a shot, I searched and saw the git I linked above with support for Mojave.
With little hope I gave it a shot in my Catalina,
• Installed the Ath9KFixup in /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other • Used Kext beast to install the Ath9KInjector in /S/L/E • Rebooted
It didn't work. Obviously, because I knew installing kexts in /S/L/E wouldn't work. So I booted up Kext Beast again, this time I installed the ATH9KInjector in /L/E. Reboot.
Wifi popped up, working at full bandwidth. It was very exciting cuz I never had WiFi at full bandwidth. I opened app store and thought I would download something.
That's when the problem occurred, I couldn't download anything, upon googling I found out I had to remove the Network interfaces from system preference and remove the NetworkInterfaces.plist
Did that and rebooted, the wifi icon went gray. I immediately restore the removed Networkinterfaces.plist Still the same, so I proceed to removing the ATH9KInjector.kext and ATH9KFixup.kext
But no matter what I did for the past two days, even removing the wifi kexts completely, the wifi icon is always gray.
I attempted to install the kext in L/E and S/L/E but nothing ever worked. I don't know what to do next, any help will be much appreciated.
