I had time machine running on my clover based hackintosh for a few years. When I upgraded to Catalina, I decided to try open core. I’m very happy with the results and have been manually restoring my preferences as I have used the new system.
There are some files from various projects that I will no doubt need in the near future. I have been considering running migration assistant to import the old user account and all the files (which also gives me access to the complete time machine backups).
Before I go and do that, I just wanted to check in on other open core years’ experience of Running migration assistant. Did it work out for you? Is there anything I need to be aware of? Do you advise against it?
