New here- please answer general questions

• Catalina
• -Mojave-i5-10400 6 core
• -Asus Prime Z490m-plus
• -Radeon RX570 Sapphire Pulse 4Gb
• -16Gb ram -Gskill-

Hello and thank you for being here to answer questions.

First time poster and first time Hackintosh builder. (I'll probably ask a bunch of dumb questions)

I did a decent amount of research before starting this build, I have a knack for figuring things out but its been a while. My last computer build was a 166mhz WinXp build with a whopping 512mhz ram.No matter how much you research, as you know its the questions you didn't think to ask that get you into trouble.

My intention was to clone my MacBook Pro hard drive and move it over to the Hackintosh. My logical brain said that I could do most if not all of the clover type prep directly on the hard drive before I moved it and then it would boot with some adjustments.

I now realize that one of the questions I didn't ask was - Is there enough info out there on a new chipset where a noob can figure this out, currently my answer is NO.

Here are a couple of questions that would help me out a ton.

1- Is there a tutorial out ( I can't find it) moving my current MacBook hard drive clone over to the Hackintosh

2- I started with Clover then realized there were no sample P.list for a Z490 board. So I'm a little stuck. I'm Considering moving to OpenCore, is that what you would do?

3- What additional advice would you give?
