Had too much free time and decided to test the locking my Hackintosh via the findmyiphone app before even researching / reading up about it. the result? cannot unlock even with the correct passcode! after hours of searching, I realised I have a back up OS in the 2nd drive in my machine so I chose to boot with that instead and guess what, it landed on the same lock page. So I tried my USB installer, with a different serial number / UUID etc, and it booted up and login successfully. I just had to change my serial number and then logout iCloud and relogin to resume iCloud services. just sharing in case anyone does the same mistake as I did. [link] [comments] |
