Hello guys!
First af all I would like to thank all those people who wrote this awesome OpenCore guide and all those that made all this effort understanding and building all those files ,even I haven’t already make hacintosh before.
At the point , I own an iMac late 2013 and hopefully about the end of the year I need an upgrade. I am thinking of building a Hackintosh using OC. Parts list etc will follow the compatibility guide at the moment of purchase , more or less it will be a 2000€ build.
Knowing almost nothing about hackintosh I started reading this sub for a while and read about 2-3 times all the guide. I have around sitting a midi tower case Dell Optiplex 790 i5 2400 Sandy Bridge , (specs : https://www.cnet.com/products/dell-optiplex-790-mt-core-i5-2400-3-1-ghz-4-gb-500-gb/ ) so my question is , is it worth on trying hackintosh it (?) ,not for everyday use of course but just to get familiar with the procedure.
Its two days I have started downloading and making the EFI folder and kexts folder , now I am on building the ACPI , all these going through my iMac. Should I start the procedure bare bottom on the Dell it shelf ? Cause I cannot understand , the DSDT and the SSDT must be made on the target machine so I can dump and decompile the DSDT ,am I correct or not ? So I need the Dell up and running (on windows) to do that or can I continue to my iMac ?
Sorry for the long post , but hackintoshing itself is a looong run :)
Thanks
