For starters, the machine I‘m working with is the Asus PN60-BB3006MC. I found this at the office and figured I could try and use it as kind of a NUC. I’ve been trying at this Asus Mini PC for what has to be a few months now. I’ve been able to get to the point where I’m booted and signed in to iCloud with everything working as expected, but without graphics acceleration. Today, I decided to start from the ground up with Opencore. I got it up and booted, but still with no iGPU acceleration. I‘m guessing that the issue has something to do with this: Mini PC’s are essentially laptops crammed into a box, and I’ve been going at this by trying to set up a desktop PC. The problem is, I have no clue where to start looking into this. I’m hoping that by giving you guys this information you could at least point me in the right direction to modifying my config or drivers correctly. For a point of reference on my experience level, I’ve built three or four hackintoshes, but none in a mini PC form, so this is new to me. - Bootloader: Opencore 0.5.9 - SMBIOS: iMac 18,1 - Motherboard: Asus PN60-r (This is the limiting factor I’ve run into. It’s a very nonstandard board so I’ve got no idea which direction to head in) - CPU: Intel Core i3-8130U at 2.2GHz - RAM: 16 GB (2x8GB) both at 2400MHz - 1x NVMe SSD 512GB (Bootloader is on a USB drive at the moment, but the MacOS installation itself is on the SSD) - Graphics: Using iGPU Hope this is enough information. I’m happy to update this if you need more. [link] [comments] |
