What's the proper way to move hackintosh macOS install to another drive?

Hey folks, I'm planning to move to another drive. Given I have TimeMachine backup, do I need to install a fresh copy of macOS on a new drive and then go trough migration assistant process, or I should just choose restore from backup in installer ?
