Lag using Wifi usb adapter on macOS 10.15.5 | Ryzen 5 3600 | B450 | Gigabyte Rx 5700 XT

Hello, hoping someone can give a hand or point me in the right direction.

When I connect my usb adapter everything starts to lag horribly:

Here's how it performs when the adapter is not connected:

I use the same adapter with the same driver on my Hackintosh laptop and have no issues.

Could this be a USB problem? It doesn't seem to recognize my iPhone either (but it charges) but it does recognize any storage device.
