Hoping someone can give me a hand with this and point me in the right direction.
After successfully installing macOS Catalina 10.15.5, I went ahead and installed chris1111 drivers for my usb wifi adapter (Realtek 8811AU, https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Adapter), after connecting to a network everything became super laggy but when I disconnect everything looks fine again.
Connecting to the internet works fine and I use the same adapter on my hackintosh laptop (Intel CPU and using Clover on Catalina 10.15.4, not sure if it makes a difference).
This is how it looks when i'm not connected to a network:
And this is how it looks when I am:
I'm using OpenCore 0.5.8 and I followed this guide:
This is my part list:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
MOTHERBOARD: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
SSD: Western Digital Green 120 GB
Here's a screenshot of my EFI folder:
And my config file:
I'm unsure if this is a USB mapping issue or not, as all ports seem to be working and recognize anything I plug in. I read through the USB mapping guide from the same guide I used to configure OpenCore but all my ports are recognized and doesn't seem like I need to rename anything?
Should I even try to make it work or just buy a compatible wireless card?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
