Hi, I'm attempting my first Open Core Hackintosh. I've previously done Clover builds.
Problem:
ProperTree is not "seeing" the kexts in the EFI>>OC directory of my installation USB drive.
Specs:
I am building this in Windows 10 using the OpenCore vanilla guide. This is being built on the exact machine that the MacOS will run on.
mobo: Gigabyte Z270P-D3
CPU: Intel i5/6500
GPU: Gigabyte RX 580 8 GB
RAM: 2x8 GB (16 GB total) Ballistix DDR4-2666
SSD: Silicon Power 512 GB SATA
WiFi: Fenvi FV-T919
Running on Win 10 with latest updates.
Details:
I'm getting stuck at trying to build my config.plist. Using the Vanilla guide (Intel config.plist >> skylake), I renamed the sample.plist in the opencore download and copied it to the EFI>>OC folder of my USB drive.
I open the .plist in ProperTree and then run a clean snapshot of the EFI>>OC folder. It picks up the .aml files in the ACPI folder but seemingly none of the kexts.
I've tried dropping the kexts alone into the kexts folder and also tried dropping them in their folder structure as they come when unzipped. ProperTree doesn't seem to see any of them either way.
I'm sure I missed something in the vanilla guie, but I can't seem to find it.
Can anyone set me straight?
