I have been struggling to get video output through HDMI on the hardware accelerated iGPU (Intel UHD 630) on a Gigabyte Z390 Designare + Intel i9-9900K using OpenCore and Catalina. If I use ig-platform-id alone, it does not enable hardware acceleration, but I get output on HDMI. If I specify both ig-platform-id and device-id, I see in the verbose text that hardware acceleration has been enabled but I lose signal on the monitor. If I then screen share to the machine I can log in that way and can verify that full graphics memory is available and hardware acceleration is working (i.e. translucent dock).
So the problem would seem to be a matter of enabling the HDMI port when hardware acceleration is working. I tried the iGPU BusID patching chapter in the guide:
https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Desktop-Guide/extras/gpu-patches.html#iGPU-BusID-Patching
but unfortunately despite cycling through every combination of BusID from 01 to 06 on every output, none of them worked. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this working? Thanks in advance
