AMD Hackintosh OpenCore Freezing

Background:

My first Hackintosh build, so please be nice :) I have spent the best part of ten days straight trying to get this build working. Have read the OpenCore guide and followed it 3 times and am still having trouble. I'm assuming I've missed a small detail and hoping that it's not hardware related.

I did have the below setup on an Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 mobo but was confident the board was faulty. Sourced a new mobo, the X570 Taichi and rebuilt the machine on this new mobo hoping that it would solve my issues plus built the config.plist again.

Current setup:

  • Mobo: Asrock X570 Taichi
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700
  • GPU: AMD RX580 8GB
  • RAM: DARK Z DDR4 32GB

Software setup:

  • OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.4
  • OpenCore: 0.5.8
  • Guide: OpenCore-Desktop-Guide
  • My config.plist here (MLB, ROM, SystemSerialNumber, SystemUUID all omitted)
  • Folder Structure as follows and all nested in the partition EFI >> EFI:
BOOT BOOTx64.efi
OC ACPI SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml
Bootstrap Bootstrap.efi
config.plist
Drivers HfsPlus.efi
OpenCanopy.efi
OpenRuntime.efi
Kexts AppleALC.kext
Lilu.kext
NVMeFix.kext
SmallTreeIntel82576.kext
VirtualSMC.kext
WhateverGreen.kext
OpenCore.efi
Resources Dito...
Tools OpenShell.efi

My current issue: freezing and app crash not long after login.

System freezing not long after login when using any application such as Chrome, ProperTree, Console, FCPX, etc

  • I can't seem to see anything in Console at each crash. The last crash report I received pointed towards a sleep/power/USB issue (I believe), see system crash report here.
  • Anyway, I think I've moved on from the issue(s) in the system crash report mentioned, well, a new one has now superseded it and I'm not sure what change I did in trying to fix the sleep issue to cause this freezing issue.

I've got a hunch that it has to do with USB mapping, can't be sure and don't know how to be sure, so can anyone please help me out here? I've done a lot of googling and changing bits and pieces. I've tried understanding Hackintool and other various things to try and get a Bluetooth dongle working, understanding that the Bluetooth on the mobo doesn't work?

Anyway, I'm really hoping it is a small detail that I've overlooked and someone can clearly see it?
