During this downtime, I'm thinking of experimenting with OpenCore to see how it compares with Clover and to learn more about Hackintosh configuration in general.
My system is a golden x299 dual-boot (macOS and Win 10) build with Thunderbolt 3. (full specs below) Everything works perfectly.
My plan is to fully disconnect/remove the boot macOS drive and do all my experimenting with a separate SSD and flash drive.
BIOS should not need to be touched.
Is there any risk to my system if I work in this manner? My Clover system really is 99.9% perfect and I don't want to mess anything up while experimenting.
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!
