Hey guys, I hope everybody is well.
I'm trying to setup Catalina with OpenCore on my Ryzen 3700X based system. I already created a working boot stick.I am however now stuck in the installer on creating a APFS boot volume on my Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe SSD. The diskutility will create the necessary container and a volume, but upon trying to mount it, it takes about 30 seconds before everything just freezes. I can't even move the mouse anymore.I tried creating the filesystem in the GUI of the diskutility, as well as via the terminal and I also tried creating a HFS volume first and then converting it to APFS, but still no luck.
Does anybody have a clue as to why it is behaving this way?
I created the boot stick with GibMacOS, which already installed the (then) latest OpenCore Version, which I believe was 0.5.6.
The drivers I am loading are:
- ApfsDriverLoader.efi
- AudioDxe.efi
- FwRuntimeServices.efi
- VBoxHfs.efi
If helpful, my specs:
- Ryzen 7 3700X
- ASRock X570 Steel Legend
- PowerColor RX 5700 XT RedDevil
- Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
