So last night I decided to switch across to OpenCore rather than Clover, and after a couple of hours (a really interesting POST issue on reboot took me awhile to debug) I got it working successfully. I already had this system up and running just fine with Clover, though booting was a little slow. Did all the work on a spare USB, and then once it was working successfully replaced the Clover EFI with the new OpenCore EFI folder using MountEFI. Also finally got round to not using USBInjectAll.kext and instead created my own custom USBPorts.kext. All in all, it was a pretty painless experience, though I do miss the Clover GUI theme I had. Put up the contents of the EFI on Github for those who also have this configuration. I was also thinking of making a web based OpenCore configurator if there was enough interest that would allow people to select the components that they have and automatically generate a config.plist file that they could work off as a base if there was enough interest.
