I made the mistake of getting the Samsung 970 Evo+ instead of just the regular Evo and now I'm experiencing problems installing MacOS. There is a firmware update on the Samsung website, but I'm unable to get it to work. My question is this: Do I have to have a working MacOS first before updating the firmware? Will I have to buy another hard drive to instal MacOS first and then update the Evo+ hard drive? Thanks for your help : )
In case you need to know, here are my other specs:
Processor: i9 9900k; MB: Gigabyte Z390 designare; RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16 GBx2; HD: Samsung Evo+ 970; Graphics: Sapphire Radeon RX 580)
