Ok, I have a curious situation. Built a new computer to dual boot Mac OS Catalina and Windows 10. Here are the components I gathered:
- Ryzen 3700x
- Asrock x570 Phantom Gaming 4
- Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC 8G
Using Opencore, I carefully worked through the guide to make the installer USB and it worked flawlessly as expected. OSX 10.15.4 installed flawlessly and boots without problem. Windows 10 installed and boots without issue also.
Here's the problem: as per the OC guide, AMD Hacks won't boot without CSM disabled and I've verified this to be true. The problem is that CSM must be enabled in order for the BIOS to display any of the internal storage, specifically the drive with the Win10 installation, meaning I need to mess with the BIOS every time I want to boot the other OS. I've been building Hacks for years - this is probably the 10th in the last 8-9 years. I've used MultiBeast, then Clover, now OpenCore. I've never had this issue before. Any ideas what I'm missing, or is this just an AMD anomaly?
