Hey, guys...Just wanted to share my joy and excitement with you guys here before I give this a go and enter the most frustrating night of my life lol. I won't necessarily say I'm a mac guy as i use windows every day for work, but my preference is a mac. I am a singer/music producer/engineer by night and a database administrator by day. My current 2013 Mac pro was showing signs of aging and it was time for an upgrade. So i decided to create a modern version of the mac pro, as I'm unwilling to pay the $10k apple wants for the system I want. Anyway, my goal is to put together a hackintosh beast for everyday use. Music production/ VM Database development, and content creation as I'm also ocassionally a Youtuber (will be focusing a lot more on this now). Never built a computer guys. Let alone install opencore for my mac and next figure out how to overclock. But i really really REALLY want this work and will give it my best. The quest/build starts tonight after i finish this message. If there is anyone here who is willing to help or walk me through steps, please let me know. Perhaps you just want to encourage me, perhaps you are just knowledgeable about building computers or hackintoshes and just love putting them together, or you figure you have the time to help a first timer or you just wanna see this build work. If you wouldn't mind helping a fellow assisting/guiding a young fellow through his first build, please reach out to me via private message. The building part i think (hope lol) I can manage. The hackintosh part I have no clue. And so i thought i'd reach for help early. Wish me luck guys. Gonna be a lonnnng night or morning lol. PS: I know i'm extremely lucky, but i was able to land a 10980xe for cpu. I saw it available when I was putting together my part list back in December 2019, but never knew cpu's like that sell out quick (so rookie of me). So i decided to pass until later. Huge mistake. It took me FIVE months to find another through the help of a friend, but i was determined. Glad i was patient.
